Solutions Architect, CS MENAT

Position Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced and driven technology professionals who combine deep technical knowledge with strong interpersonal abilities. You will collaborate closely with customers, the AWS sales team, and other AWS groups to design scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud solutions that solve business challenges and promote the adoption of AWS services. Working alongside sales, you will contribute to accelerating revenue growth among a diverse customer base. As a trusted advisor to clients, you will guide them in best practices for advanced cloud-based architectures and facilitate migration of existing workloads to the AWS cloud.

The role is based in Dubai/Abu Dhabi with anticipated travel of 25% to 50% across Middle Eastern countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to develop and implement strategies exceeding revenue goals through AWS adoption.
• Support building and migrating enterprise applications and services onto AWS.
• Educate customers of varying sizes about AWS value propositions and engage in detailed architectural discussions to ensure cloud-ready designs.
• Deliver targeted training sessions to transfer AWS knowledge to prospective and current clients.
• Share best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Contribute content such as whitepapers to AWS customer-facing publications.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior technical stakeholders to foster cloud advocacy.
• Act as a technical bridge between customers, engineering teams, and support functions.

Required Experience

• At least 7 years in IT development, implementation, or consulting within software or internet industries.
• More than 4 years of expertise in specific technology areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data analytics.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in software development or internet-focused industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer systems to cloud environments.
• Hands-on working knowledge of AWS technologies from a development and operations perspective.
