Join the dynamic BytePlus team, a division of ByteDance, dedicated to empowering enterprises and AI-driven developers with next-generation solutions. Utilizing advanced AI technologies including cutting-edge models, agent-based solutions, and cloud infrastructure, BytePlus fosters innovation to transform industries and accelerate business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the bridge between advanced Generative AI research and practical, industrial applications, ensuring AI models are integrated effectively to solve complex real-world challenges, focusing on performance and result delivery.
- Design and rapidly prototype AI-native agent solutions tailored to client requirements across industries such as fintech and creative sectors, developing customized workflows, system integrations, and fine-tuned AI models.
- Implement robust, production-quality code to integrate AI model APIs with various agent frameworks like ADK and LangChain, incorporating essential tools such as retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, memory bases, caching, and specialized skills.
- Optimize system performance by addressing latency, throughput, and cost challenges, enhancing prompt chains, and deploying caching strategies to scale AI capabilities for millions of users.
- Develop comprehensive evaluation and safeguard frameworks combining automated judgment models and human oversight to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance in outputs, especially critical for regulated sectors like finance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and algorithm research teams to provide field insights that inform the core product roadmap and strategic direction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum of five years' experience in roles such as Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or AI agent Product/Engineer.
- Strong expertise in public cloud AI solutions, especially large language model applications in sectors including e-commerce, social entertainment, fintech, and education.
- Familiarity with agent-based AI frameworks and design paradigms including Re-Act, Plan and Execute, Multi-Agent systems, and skill-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks and technical projects involving Pageindex, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt and context engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, PyTorch or Jax, and experience with orchestration tools like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Background in cloud deployment and DevOps practices including Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying models to cloud providers.
- Preferred: strong communication skills, adaptability to fast-paced startup environments, self-motivation, teamwork orientation, and attention to detail balanced with strategic thinking.
