About the Role
The Solution Specialist position, based at our Auckland head office, reports to the Service Delivery Manager. This permanent, full-time role focuses on delivering on-premises implementations, client projects, consultations, and professional services agreements. The role ensures outstanding client experiences and smooth migrations to our platform solutions across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Deeply understand the cinema industry's operational needs to accurately configure and support the Vista software suite, becoming a subject matter expert on the modules.
- Conduct project discovery to analyze client requirements, design systems, implement Vista software solutions, and rigorously test configurations to meet specifications.
- Install and set up Vista’s on-premises and platform software for both small-scale consultations and extensive deployments, performing tasks remotely and on-site.
- Provide comprehensive training to clients through both remote sessions and in-person meetings.
- Advise clients on best practices to maximize the benefits of Vista software.
- Manage ownership of project tasks, ensuring their successful completion.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Contribute across regions and departments on assigned initiatives, whether temporary or part of formal rotations.
- Be available to assist with after-hours tasks such as system upgrades, maintenance, urgent configurations, or critical support issues that cannot be done during client operations.
- Travel domestically within New Zealand and internationally as required.
- Perform any other assigned responsibilities to support business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience in software application support, deployment, and client consultancy.
- Strong technical expertise in SQL Server, .NET framework (preferred), and advanced proficiency with Windows systems including IIS, DNS, DHCP, and Networking.
- Capacity to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with effective prioritization and follow-through to resolution.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and exercise sound independent judgment in assessing situations and formulating responses.
- Dedication to delivering superior customer service and building strong working relationships.
- Experience in project management and governance is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cinema operations is an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Valid passport or the ability to promptly obtain one if necessary for travel.
- Familiarity with AI toolsets such as Copilot and Avo is preferred.
