Solution Designer - Finance

About the Role

Join the pioneering team at Singtel Kuala Lumpur's new Shared Services Centre, part of Asia's foremost communications technology group spanning 21 countries. This pivotal role focuses on strategic ownership and evolution of financial systems, primarily utilizing SAP S/4HANA and complementary platforms, to support the Singtel Group's finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the domain management of financial systems to ensure IT strategies align with business goals.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year roadmap for financial systems across the organization.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, innovatively propose solutions, and design scalable systems.
• Oversee full lifecycle project delivery ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budget.
• Maintain system service levels and spearhead continuous improvements to enhance system reliability and functionality.
• Manage outsourced Application Managed Services teams to guarantee effective support and service quality.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through consistent engagement and feedback.
• Contribute to IT architectural decisions, design standards, and governance policies for secure, compliant financial systems.
• Drive optimization of processes and system upgrades to facilitate scalability and future business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 6 years of direct experience with SAP FICO and related financial systems.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Systems, and Credit Management.
• Familiarity with SAP BPC and experience with non-SAP financial applications like treasury or enterprise performance management tools.
• Demonstrated track record in SAP S/4HANA implementations, preferably in consulting or large enterprise environments.
• In-depth understanding of financial workflows and systems integration principles.
• Effective communication skills for translating technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative teamwork abilities.
• Proven project management expertise delivering complex projects on schedule and budget.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and Application Managed Services teams is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to treasury systems or EPM software such as CCH Tagetik.
• Knowledge of compliance solutions such as Invoice NOW/PEPPOL or tax/legal systems.
• Experience working on large-scale transformation or enhancement projects.
