About the Role
Join EY as a Snowflake Solution Architect and take a leading role in developing cutting-edge data engineering and cloud AI solutions. This position focuses on designing scalable Snowflake architectures, data ingestion and transformation pipelines, and empowering users through advanced data visualization and natural language interfaces. You will also mentor junior team members and drive technical innovations across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive Snowflake solution architectures tailored to client needs.
- Create data models and develop robust pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation.
- Integrate Snowflake with other tools in its ecosystem to enhance platform capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience implementing Snowflake platforms and designing data platform solutions.
- Proficiency in data modeling using various methodologies to suit different scenarios.
- Strong expertise in data engineering to develop scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Advanced ability in writing optimized SQL queries for complex data operations.
- Experience integrating Snowflake with data processing frameworks and related ecosystems.
Desirable Attributes
- Familiarity with Snowflake Horizon Catalog.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities concerning data challenges.
- Effective communication skills able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for leveraging data to achieve business goals.
- Prior experience in leadership or mentorship roles, guiding less experienced team members.
