Job description
Role Overview
As a Solution Architect, you will lead the overall architecture and full lifecycle design of cloud-native software solutions. Your focus will be on agile product and solution development within the financial services and regulatory sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and product owners to define architectural blueprints and solution designs.
- Oversee implementation efforts to ensure development aligns with the proposed architecture and design principles.
- Provide technical mentorship by guiding development teams, tackling complex engineering challenges, and reviewing code quality.
- Enhance software reliability and maintainability through cloud-native practices, Test-Driven Development, and automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Support quality assurance teams in test automation initiatives and proactively identify technical risks and issues.
- Partner with fellow architects to create standardized reusable libraries and core technical components.
- Coordinate across infrastructure, enterprise architecture, applications, and security teams to set up infrastructure, continuous integration pipelines, integrate applications, and resolve deployment challenges.
- Investigate and prototype emerging technologies for innovation projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree, accompanied by a minimum of seven years in application development, solution architecture, and business analysis roles.
- Deep understanding of solution architecture principles and integration methodologies.
- Skilled in designing and building enterprise-scale applications that address complex business challenges.
- Hands-on experience with technologies including .NET, Java, React.js, Node.js, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Comfortable working with multiple programming paradigms.
- Practiced in Agile and Scrum methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledgeable about OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect identity protocols.
- Experience working with containers, microservices architecture, and DevSecOps tools and processes.
- Familiarity with cloud-native approaches and technologies.
- Proven ability to architect and develop solutions in AWS cloud environments; AWS certification is advantageous.
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), service management, security, and compliance workflows, including change, incident, and problem management within cloud ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, adept at managing competing priorities to consistently meet deadlines.
- Creatively resolve technical issues and demonstrate initiative, collaboration, and effective organizational communication skills.
