Solar Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a proficient Solar Technician with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in installing and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu involves the comprehensive maintenance and servicing of solar equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and service solar PV systems including panels, inverters, and batteries.
• Perform electrical wiring and connections in compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and carry out preventive maintenance on solar installations.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical and technical issues within solar equipment.
• Monitor system performance to confirm correct power output.
• Follow established electrical safety protocols during all operations.
• Document basic maintenance and service activities accurately.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and customers during installation and servicing visits.
• Safe handling of tools and equipment while maintaining discipline on site.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of professional experience as a Solar Technician or Electrician.
• Sound knowledge of solar PV components, electrical wiring, inverters, and batteries.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuitry and safety regulations.
• ITI or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics disciplines is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to customer or site locations when required.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Other Details

This role offers a monthly salary ranging from 20,000 to 31,000 INR. Applicants should be prepared for site-based work and occasional travel to client locations.
