Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position in Kilkenny requires a Solar Electrician responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning solar photovoltaic systems. Key duties include fitting panels, inverters, and electrical components according to regulatory requirements and company protocols. Daily tasks involve electrical wiring, maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and troubleshooting system issues to ensure safe functionality of all installations. The role also demands interpreting electrical schematics, completing documentation, coordinating with team members and supervisors, and maintaining professional client interactions. Additionally, the electrician will assist with system inspections, upgrades, compliance checks, and contribute to enhancing installation procedures.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Solid knowledge of electrical principles and practices including safe handling of electrical systems.
- Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of solar PV and electrical installations.
- Understanding of electrical engineering concepts applicable to solar and general electrical equipment.
- Possession of recognized electrical certification or completion of an apprenticeship, with current regulatory certifications.
- Familiarity with solar PV technology, including inverters, mounting frameworks, and grid connection standards.
- Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices, including proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety rules.
- Effective communication abilities, dependability, and capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a site team.
- Valid driving license and readiness to travel within the region to various customer locations.
