Job Overview
The Software Engineering Manager role combines technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership in nurturing technical talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and testing of technical products addressing internal or external needs.
- Serve as an advanced technologist promoting robust coding standards and sound design choices.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to navigate and resolve organizational challenges while guiding strategic cross-team initiatives.
- Act as an agile and product champion by empowering product teams, collaborating with leadership to foster autonomy, maintain engineering momentum, and deliver business value.
- Build and sustain a culture centered on empowerment, engineering excellence, and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least twelve years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Comprehensive understanding of information systems technology, software development procedures, and industry-specific applications.
- Deep knowledge of the supported business unit with an ability to gauge its impact across the organization.
- Strong foundation in engineering and technology capable of driving product-focused solutions.
- Proven management and leadership abilities, excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—sound judgment, and the capacity to facilitate decision-making through consensus and influence.
