As a Software Engineering Manager for the backend team, you will oversee a high-impact group responsible for the scalable platform technology. Your focus will include automation, performance optimization, and engineering best practices while delivering product-driving solutions. You will influence key architectural choices and mentor your team, ensuring alignment with wider product and business strategies. This role allows you to shape foundational technology and scale our development efforts organization-wide.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of an engineering team including sprint planning, execution, timely delivery, and team rituals.
• Set team priorities and roadmap, syncing engineering objectives with product and company goals.
• Provide continuous coaching, feedback, and career development to foster a culture of excellence and learning.
• Lead architectural and design discussions, ensuring scalable, high-quality solutions aligned to platform and product vision.
• Act as the technical lead for the team, participating in code reviews, architecture decisions, and hands-on coding when necessary.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Business teams to define objectives, timelines, and critical feature delivery.
• Drive execution on complex projects under tight schedules and support innovative solution development at scale.
• Advocate for engineering best practices emphasizing quality, security, and maintainability in all outputs.

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years managing software engineering teams with a strong track record supporting technical excellence and team growth.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional development teams across the full software life cycle from planning through to maintenance.
• Excellent mentorship and team leadership abilities, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java.
• Practical experience with .NET Framework or .NET Core technologies.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and message brokers like Kafka.
• Knowledge of cloud computing architectures and services, particularly AWS.
