Role Overview

The Technology team at Revolut is responsible for creating the infrastructure and features used by millions worldwide, prioritizing smart thinking, speed, and impactful results. The Python Engineer role focuses on crafting robust code and automating solutions within tightly regulated financial systems.

Within the AI team, you will contribute to the development of core infrastructure that supports scientists and engineers in addressing future challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale backend services and tools to support AI workflows and GPU-accelerated tasks.
• Analyze and enhance model training and inference performance, focusing on latency, throughput, and stability using PyTorch and CUDA-based libraries.
• Optimize GPU resource utilization, including memory and bandwidth, in shared, multi-tenant, and multi-node settings.
• Implement advanced techniques such as mixed-precision execution, quantization, efficient batching, gradient accumulation, and memory-efficient attention mechanisms.
• Establish standardized benchmarking protocols, automate regression testing, and guide engineering teams on selecting execution frameworks and appropriate GPU hardware.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience designing and managing scalable backend systems in production, particularly with Linux environments, Kubernetes orchestration, and containerized applications, primarily using Python.
• Proficiency in running, profiling, and optimizing machine learning workloads built on PyTorch or similar frameworks on NVIDIA GPUs.
• Comprehensive understanding of GPU execution fundamentals, including memory hierarchy, CPU-GPU synchronization, data transfers, and CUDA stream operations.
• Knowledge of multi-GPU communication protocols like NCCL, data and tensor parallelism, and resource management in Kubernetes clusters.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM field, with strong foundation in computer science principles, testing methodologies, observability, and operational responsibilities.
