Role Overview

This position is within a product-driven engineering team responsible for developing digital features that allow customers to effortlessly manage their physical and mobile credentials at the workplace. Two roles are available: one for an intermediate developer aiming to enhance technical skills, and one senior role focusing on technical leadership and mentoring colleagues.

Engineers in this team contribute to systems foundational to identity, access, and trust, directly affecting customer onboarding and solution usability. Collaboration with product, design, and platform teams ensures delivery of secure, reliable, and user-friendly experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain software components including integrations with cloud services.
• Break down and estimate development tasks in an agile environment.
• Implement secure and high-quality code supported by testing and peer reviews.
• Improve system scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Work closely with agile squads and cross-functional teams.
• Keep abreast of emerging tech and practices to enhance team capabilities.
• For senior roles: provide technical leadership, assist decision-making, and mentor team members.

Candidate Profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Commercial software development experience: minimum 3 years for intermediate, more extensive for senior candidates.
• Strong proficiency in C# programming language.
• Experience working with SQL databases like PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Knowledge of RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines via Azure Pipelines or GitHub Workflows.
• Experience in agile, product-oriented teams.
• For senior candidates: capability to influence technical direction and coach others.
• Desirable experience includes C++ or mobile application development.
• Beneficial experience with access control systems, including card-based and mobile credential technologies.
