Software Engineer III - Java Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer III who will engage in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software applications for various enhancements and new products. This role involves creating software tools such as operating systems, compilers, networks, utilities, databases, and web-related tools. The engineer will also evaluate software compatibility with hardware and influence software design considering hardware constraints.

Responsibilities

• Apply foundational computer science principles including algorithms and data structures.
• Deliver proficient programming with knowledge of complex algorithms and data structures.
• Provide well-analyzed technical solutions and make informed recommendations.
• Complete assigned tasks timely with attention to quality standards.
• Write modular and maintainable code, occasionally with guidance.
• Make appropriate trade-offs to effectively resolve issues.
• Understand the wider system impact of software changes and make component-level updates accordingly.
• Interpret requirements accurately and translate them into code solutions.
• Incorporate hardware principles into design decisions.
• Develop expertise in the product domain and relate work to market trends.
• Produce well-structured, tested, and documented code within scheduled deadlines.
• Provide reliable estimates for work efforts.
• Participate actively in meetings and agile ceremonies.
• Ensure adequate test coverage to safeguard against regressions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background.
• Proven real-world experience in software development.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages.
• Strong skills in software design and code quality.

• Consistently generates high-quality, bug-minimized code.

• Travel requirement is minimal, estimated between 0-10%.
• Reports to Manager of Software Engineering.
• This is an individual contributor position classified at career level P3.
