  • Solid foundation in SQL and data modeling, effectively applying these in backend and product contexts.
  • Experience developing APIs, services, third-party integrations, with familiarity in distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Capacity to work across system layers including some front-end involvement, primarily backend-oriented.
  • Proficient in automated testing, conducting thorough code reviews, and utilizing observability tools including logs, metrics, and tracing for production insight.
  • Ability to remain composed during incidents and articulate technical trade-offs clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Preference for straightforward, maintainable, and stable code designs ensuring long-term reliability.
  • Demonstrates ownership beyond assigned tasks by validating problems before implementation, recognizing risky assumptions early, and escalating when required.
  • Adheres strictly to processes related to security and production safety, avoiding shortcuts.
  • Additional beneficial skills include experience in React/TypeScript front-end development, customer-facing products, OAuth or external API integrations, caching mechanisms like Redis, queue systems, and analytics-driven event products.
