About the Company
An expanding AI and lending technology firm based in Sydney known for its robust engineering environment, market traction, and growth opportunities within a compact team offering significant ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop backend systems primarily in TypeScript and Node.js in a production setting.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries using PostgreSQL, including joins and aggregations.
- Operate confidently within AWS services such as Lambda and ECS.
- Manage end-to-end feature development with accountability.
- Collaborate effectively with senior and lead engineers to ensure delivery of top-quality solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience with TypeScript and Node.js backend application development in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and hands-on experience with raw SQL queries.
- Between 3 to 6 years of authentic backend engineering experience.
- Familiarity navigating AWS environments without necessarily managing infrastructure ownership.
- Focus on backend specialization rather than a fullstack role with frontend emphasis.
Compensation and Benefits
Offering a salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 annually plus superannuation and equity opportunities.
