About the Role
We are looking for a proficient Software Engineer to join our FX Digital Platform team based in Singapore. This position involves contributing to the development of innovative financial technology solutions aimed at enhancing digital FX trading. The successful candidate will work onsite at our office, engaging in full stack application development and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain modern web applications using both frontend (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React) and backend (Java, TypeScript/Node.js) technologies.
- Create and manage REST APIs to facilitate application features and ensure robust system integration.
- Develop and maintain event-driven integrations and data workflows using messaging platforms like RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka.
- Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, including containerized workloads via Docker and Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service).
- Support continuous integration and delivery through CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, and maintain source code repositories and development practices.
- Ensure security by implementing secure coding practices, managing TLS certificates, secrets, and authentication mechanisms.
- Monitor application performance and resolve operational issues to maintain reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, service designers, and technical leads to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to Agile processes through participation in ceremonies, code reviews, and release planning.
- Support modernization and migration efforts for applications within the FX platform ecosystem.
- Work alongside AI engineers for integrating AI capabilities where applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid experience in frontend development technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Backend proficiency with Java and/or TypeScript (Node.js), including REST API creation and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of system integration and event-driven architectures, familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka.
- Knowledge in managing databases and data integration concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure platform services, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS), and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Understanding of secure software development practices including certificate management, identity, and access management, and secrets management (e.g., Azure Key Vault).
- Prior exposure to enterprise or government scale applications, workflow or case management systems, and digital transformation projects is advantageous.
- Experience or interest in product-led development and service design is a plus.
