Job Overview

We invite applications for the Software Engineer role to participate in meaningful software development and maintenance projects at our client’s premises. This position suits both seasoned developers and fresh graduates passionate about expanding their technical foundation. The role involves contributing to enterprise-grade government systems while engaging directly with clients within a collaborative environment. This assignment is strictly on-site and requires close teamwork with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and support application modules using Java, OutSystems, or equivalent enterprise technologies adhering to industry standards and security policies.
• Integrate OutSystems’ low-code platforms with enterprise and legacy systems to ensure reliable interoperability and data consistency.
• Convert requirements into comprehensive technical designs and coding specifications.
• Work hand-in-hand with system analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Engage in system integration and technical discussions to ensure smooth end-to-end functionality.
• Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing phases.
• Promptly identify, investigate, and resolve software defects or production issues.
• Maintain and enhance applications during development and after deployment.
• Document project details and artifacts to support delivery governance and compliance.
• Continuously enhance personal skills through training and adaptability to evolving technologies and priorities.

Candidate Profile

• Singapore citizens only, based on project requirements.
• Experience ranging from fresh graduates eager to learn up to four years working in application development with Java or related enterprise technologies.
• Strong command of English, both oral and written.
• Capability to integrate low-code solutions with other enterprise and legacy systems.
• Highly motivated, quality-conscious with a proactive approach.
• A learner mindset, keen on acquiring new technical capabilities, especially for recent graduates.
• Comfortable working fully on-site with direct client and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience contributing to enterprise-level government system projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles.
• Basic working knowledge of REST API design, development, and integration.
• Proficiency in SQL including queries, data modeling, and optimization.
• Demonstrated interest or practical experience in AI solutions development via projects, proofs-of-concepts, hackathons, or coursework.
• Ability to identify and leverage AI applications relevant to development or business challenges.
• Certifications related to Java or software development, Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum Master), or IT service management (ITIL Foundation) are beneficial but not mandatory.
