Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to join the central Commodities trading desk of a leading systematic trading firm located in Singapore. This position involves developing critical components of the trading systems including pricing, quoting, execution, and research tools that transition trading concepts from ideas to live strategies. This role provides direct interaction with traders and quantitative researchers, offering immediate feedback on deployed code performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop pricing, quoting, and execution modules for the commodities trading desk.
- Create research and backtesting tools that enable the conversion of trader ideas into deployable strategies.
- Implement latency-sensitive code where performance is quantitatively measured and optimized.
- Contribute to the evolution of the trading platform architecture as it expands into new product areas and markets.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years experience in C++ development focusing on low-latency, distributed, or research-intensive systems.
- Proficient with modern C++ standards, with a keen understanding of runtime language costs.
- Solid grasp of operating systems, concurrency, and efficient data structures.
- Experience using Python for tooling and automating research workflows.
- Skilled in leveraging AI tools efficiently without compromising the quality of output.
- Background in trading, derivatives, or Spark technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
