Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer experienced with at least 3 years in building and maintaining backend systems utilizing Python. The role requires strong skills in FastAPI or Flask frameworks to create scalable and efficient applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers to implement new features.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code following industry best practices.
• Enhance system performance, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues swiftly.
• Engage in code reviews and partner with senior developers to foster continuous skill development.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and suggest improvements to the development process.
• Leverage AI-powered coding assistants like Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalents for faster development, boilerplate generation, testing, and debugging, while ensuring high-quality and ownership of delivered code.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of backend development experience with Python and frameworks FastAPI or Flask.
• Deep knowledge of Python backend frameworks and asynchronous programming paradigms.
• Proficient with RESTful API design, including pagination, rate limiting, and diverse authentication methods.
• Experience integrating third-party platforms such as HubSpot, Zoho Books, or related tools.
• Comfortable utilizing AI-assisted programming tools as part of the modern software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
• Strong skills in Git version control.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like PyTest or Unittest.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Excellent problem solving, debugging, and analytical capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Working experience with containerization tools such as Docker; exposure to Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Understanding of microservices design and event-driven communication, with familiarity in RabbitMQ or Kafka being a plus.
• Prior involvement in Agile or Scrum team environments.
