Role Overview
We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain advanced integrations that expand our logistics network connectivity. You will operate in a fast-paced Agile environment and be responsible for managing integration lifecycles and enhancing our supply chain visibility platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cutting-edge integrations to grow the network of connected carriers and customers.
- Manage the full lifecycle of integration components.
- Maintain and improve the team's supply chain visibility platform.
- Build scalable systems across multi-cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, with value placed on experience in Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Share ownership of software delivery including development, testing, and operations.
- Handle on-call duties for team-built systems while contributing to improving tools and automation.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2-5 years of professional experience developing large-scale real-time or near-real-time cloud-based systems.
- Proficiency with Java programming and strong debugging skills.
- Experience building multi-cloud solutions, especially on AWS and GCP; Azure experience is a plus.
- Expertise creating scalable Java microservices architectures.
- Proven experience with SQL databases, preferably Postgres.
- Familiarity with event data processing using platforms such as Kafka or Kinesis.
- Comfort working in Agile development environments.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to analyze and work with large, complex codebases.
- Experience designing APIs and web services using REST or OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Knowledge of container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Interest and experience in database management with DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Postgres.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Self-motivation and responsibility for delivering quality results at a fast pace.
- Effective communicator willing to share ideas and show resilience.
Work Environment Commitment
This position requires working onsite in Bengaluru at least three days each week to promote a collaborative culture.
