The Flex is recognized as Algeria's foremost short-term rental operator, offering a comprehensive platform that consolidates reservations, guest communications, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance, and reporting. This integration assists operators in reducing manual tasks, optimizing costs, enhancing revenues, and expanding their portfolios.

Role Overview

We seek a highly driven Software Engineer based in Algeria who aspires to develop scalable systems that address tangible industry challenges. Candidates will be responsible for constructing, deploying, automating, and delivering solutions that directly benefit property managers, their teams, and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Base360.ai, supporting various facets of short-term rental operations: customer-facing applications, automation modules, AI-enhanced workflows, integrations, and core operational systems.
• Cover the entire rental lifecycle, including listing distribution, pricing, booking management, guest stays, property upkeep, and financial processes.
• Create scalable software components—applications, services, and APIs—for handling reservations, availability, pricing, payments, guest interactions, and property management.
• Implement event-driven workflow automations to eliminate repetitive tasks such as scheduling cleanings, sending check-in information, and producing owner reports.
• Leverage advanced AI technologies including large language models and AI agents to automate guest communication, manage maintenance requests, aid pricing decisions, and improve portfolio management.
• Design robust API-first architectures that facilitate connectivity among internal services, booking platforms, third-party providers, and client systems.
• Develop and maintain integrations with major platforms such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, and other key partners within the short-term rental ecosystem.
• Address complex operational challenges including real-time reservation synchronization, dynamic pricing algorithms, smart lock and key management, cross-channel guest communication, and AI-driven monitoring and alert systems.
• Own project lifecycles end-to-end—from identifying operator challenges through architecture design, implementation, deployment, and continuous enhancement.

Technology Stack

• Primary programming in Python and FastAPI framework.
• Frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Database and backend services leveraging Supabase and PostgreSQL.
• Cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS and serverless architecture.
• Integration of APIs and services such as OpenAI, Twilio, Stripe.
• Use of Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in building and maintaining production-level software solutions.
• Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, React, or similar modern technologies and frameworks.
• Strong grasp of APIs, relational databases, and cloud infrastructure design.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions with minimal oversight.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude partnered with a strong product-oriented mindset.
• Genuine interest in AI, automation, and operational process improvements.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on delivering results, shipping products, and iterating based on user feedback.
