Software Development Manager - Hardline Fulfillment Experiences Tech

About the Role

The IN Hardline Fulfillment Experiences Tech team is crucial in developing technology solutions that enable expedited order deliveries at optimized costs. We focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience from order placement through final delivery, driving true innovation in this domain.

We seek an experienced technology leader to head significant cross-functional strategic projects aimed at enhancing fulfillment experiences for customers while making purchases more affordable. Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, nurture, and lead a world-class engineering team well-versed in agile software development practices.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering leadership, and cross-company leadership teams, communicating effectively.
• Partner with product management to define strategy, architect, and implement essential functionalities for the mobile platform.
• Oversee all software development stages including design, deployment, and release phases.
• Gain expertise in Amazon's ordering, fulfillment, and affordability processes and collaborate with other teams to develop optimized systems.
• Design and implement India-first features and initiatives that cater to Indian customers and have global relevance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of overall engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Over 8 years in leading multi-tier web services development and definition.
• Strong knowledge of engineering best practices covering the full software/hardware/network lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, version control, build systems, testing, certification, and live site operations.
• Experience collaborating closely with product or program management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate with end users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements and convey software features, technical designs, and product direction.
• Experience in recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams to enhance their skills and effectiveness as product engineers.
