About the Role
The Alexa Growth team is focused on increasing engagement by boosting conversations and interactions per weekly active user, driving both new customer acquisition and deeper user engagement globally across paid and free tiers. This role is based in Hyderabad within the Alexa Core Experiences organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and directly manage a team of engineers ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of projects.
- Make architectural and operational decisions to support scalability and reliability across multiple languages and Alexa-supported devices.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 7 years of engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years managing engineering teams.
- Over 8 years leading the design and development of multi-tier web services.
- Comprehensive understanding of full software/hardware/network lifecycle including best practices such as coding standards, code reviews, version control, build pipelines, testing, certification, and live site operations.
- Proven collaboration with product and program management teams.
- Expertise in designing or architecting scalable, reliable systems using design patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to interact with users, technical teams, and senior leadership regarding requirements, product features, architecture, and strategy.
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing software engineers to enhance technical skills and productivity.
