About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 is a globally trusted cloud storage service managing trillions of objects with unmatched durability and performance. You will engage actively with multiple internal teams to support daily operations, develop solutions aligned with technical strategies, and make architecture decisions to balance reliability, scalability, and performance. The S3 Index Control Plane team manages services and tools that orchestrate capacity growth, heat management, and data durability to ensure consistent access to S3 object primary keys at scale.

  • At least 2 years of experience in designing or architecting systems, including applying design patterns and scalability considerations.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language to develop robust software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience covering the full software development life cycle: coding standards, peer code reviews, source control, automated builds, testing, and production operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
