Role Overview

The Soft Services Manager will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of soft services at client locations, including housekeeping, façade cleaning, pest control, landscaping, and other environmental care activities. This full-time, on-site Chennai position demands planning and coordinating human resources, workflow, and schedules to ensure cleanliness, safety, and comfort across diverse facility types such as commercial spaces, residential sites, healthcare facilities, and IT parks. The role entails implementing checklists, standard operating procedures, and preventive maintenance measures, closely monitoring service quality and adherence to client and internal standards.

The manager will collaborate with technical divisions, vendors, and clients, oversee budgets, optimize resource utilization, and generate periodic reports covering operational performance, incident management, and improvement efforts. Leading and training on-site teams, championing continuous improvement projects, and facilitating new initiatives, transitions, and audits are key responsibilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Hands-on experience in managing soft services within facilities management including housekeeping, pest control, and landscaping services.
• Strong abilities in operational planning, staff supervision, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
• Aptitude for developing, implementing, and monitoring SOPs, quality checklists, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities to maintain client relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in fundamental reporting, documentation, and use of facility management software tools.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and hygiene standards applicable to commercial, residential, and healthcare environments.
• Educational background preferably includes a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Hospitality, Property Management, or related fields.
• Prior experience overseeing on-site operations in large-scale multi-use properties such as hospitals, IT parks, or malls is advantageous.
