Social Care Worker

Position Overview

We are recruiting full-time permanent Social Care Workers in Portarlington, Co Laois to provide person-centred care and support. The role involves assisting residents in gaining independence, confidence, and essential life skills within a supportive environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Level 7 degree in Social Care or a related field.
• Registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker or actively pursuing registration.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions.
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously, take initiative, and adapt to evolving needs.
• Familiarity with HIQA standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
• A commitment to delivering rights-based, person-centred care.
• Hold a full and clean driving licence.
• Exemplify professionalism, integrity, and dependability.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate of €17.00, plus additional pay for nights, Sundays, and public holidays.
