Job description
Role Overview
We seek a proficient Snow License Implementation Manager to oversee and execute Snow License Manager and Software Asset Management (SAM) projects. The ideal candidate will possess substantial hands-on expertise with Snow Software, managing the entire scope from evaluation and planning to implementation, reconciliation, optimization, and final delivery. Additionally, the role entails direct experience migrating or implementing Snow to Flexera One, including assessments, license mapping, and preparing for migration.
Key Duties
- Direct comprehensive Snow License Manager and SAM implementation tasks.
- Set up and govern software license management processes such as entitlements, license metrics, reconciliation, and compliance checks.
- Oversee software inventory management, discovery, normalization, and optimization of licenses.
- Detect instances of over-licensing, under-licensing, and compliance risks, proposing appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with CMDB and discovery data teams to incorporate relevant data sources into SAM platforms.
- Lead the migration and implementation pathway from Snow to Flexera One.
- Evaluate the current Snow setup to spot gaps and dependencies relevant to migration.
- Conduct license mapping and detailed data evaluation for migration readiness.
- Create detailed migration plans, maintain documentation, track issues, and manage implementation outputs.
- Coordinate efforts among technical groups, business stakeholders, and vendors throughout implementation phases.
- Assist with testing, validation, reconciliation, and go-live procedures.
- Monitor project milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies independently to ensure on-schedule delivery.
Desired Experience
- Knowledge of enterprise-level software publishers and associated licensing models.
- Familiarity with Software Asset Management (SAM) tools and integration of data sources.
- Experience producing migration readiness evaluations and comprehensive implementation documentation.
- Competence in managing project risks, resolving issues, and handling escalations with stakeholders.
