About the Role

Pharma Q is seeking a proficient Smart Contract Developer and Blockchain Solutions Architect to craft, secure, and deploy blockchain applications and decentralized solutions. This position demands both hands-on smart contract development and architecture design skills to develop scalable, secure, and reliable blockchain systems aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain smart contracts for blockchain-based applications.
• Utilize Solidity and other blockchain programming languages to build secure and high-performing contracts.
• Create blockchain architectures emphasizing scalability, security, and system reliability.
• Translate business requirements into executable blockchain solutions.
• Build decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain-enabled services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, designers, and stakeholders through the development lifecycle.
• Define technical architecture, system components, protocols, and integration plans.
• Select appropriate blockchain platforms and networks according to project objectives.
• Work with Ethereum and Layer 1 and Layer 2 compatible ecosystems.
• Integrate smart contracts with frontend, backend services, APIs, wallets, and other applications.
• Implement token standards such as ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, and relevant protocols.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, optimization, and deployment of smart contracts across environments.
• Perform code reviews focusing on security, performance, and architectural best practices.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to enhance blockchain application security and mitigate vulnerabilities, including reentrancy, access control weaknesses, oracle manipulation, and integer bugs.
• Support smart contract audits and implement recommended improvements.
• Optimize gas usage and transaction performance while ensuring maintainability.
• Design secure wallet, key management, authentication, and transaction-signing workflows.
• Integrate blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems, databases, cloud environments, and APIs.
• Create blockchain integration patterns for diverse business domains such as finance, supply chain, identity, and asset management.
• Assess decentralized protocols, infrastructure providers, development tools, and blockchain frameworks.
• Stay updated on blockchain innovations including Layer 2 solutions, interoperability, decentralized storage, oracles, and cross-chain technologies.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams and API specs.
• Establish coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment workflows for blockchain projects.
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and automate testing for blockchain applications.
• Troubleshoot issues involving blockchain transactions, contract failures, integration challenges, and production incidents.
• Engage with external blockchain vendors, auditors, and technology partners as required.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams on blockchain-related projects.
• Ensure blockchain solutions incorporate governance, monitoring, compliance, and operational controls.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in blockchain development, smart contract programming, or blockchain systems architecture.
• Proficient programming skills in Solidity and familiarity with Web3 development environments.
• Experience in developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum or compatible blockchain platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of blockchain concepts including architecture, consensus algorithms, transactions, nodes, blocks, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of EVM-compatible networks and Layer 2 blockchain technologies.
• Experience with blockchain development tools such as Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with Web3 libraries (e.g., ethers.js, web3.js) and integrating smart contracts with backend/frontend applications.
• Strong grasp of cryptographic methods, digital signatures, wallet security, and blockchain-specific security threats.
• Awareness of smart contract vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks for blockchain applications.
• Working knowledge of Git, version control systems, continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservice architecture, databases, cloud platforms, and distributed applications.
• Understanding of token standards, decentralized applications, DeFi, and digital asset management is a plus.
• Experience conducting smart contract audits or collaborating with external security auditors is advantageous.
• Expertise in gas optimization techniques and blockchain transaction cost management.
• Strong skills in system design and architecture with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective technical writing skills and ability to clearly explain complex blockchain topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently as well as within cross-disciplinary teams.
• Strong focus on security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability in solution delivery.
• Additional certifications or training in blockchain, Web3, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, or software engineering is favorable.
