Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our Maintenance Facility team, supporting construction operations in Edmonton and adjacent areas. This full-time role is onsite and offers competitive pay along with benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repair and maintenance tasks on small engine equipment including but not limited to plate tampers, jumping jacks, portable generators, motorized pumps, and trimmers.
• Inspect, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues affecting power equipment.
• Manage coordination for distribution and return of equipment across various company divisions.
• Schedule and organize repairs and maintenance activities in line with shop operations and company scheduling.
• Utilize technical procedures alongside hand and power tools as well as diverse testing instruments.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, while collaborating with shop personnel to complete projects as needed.
• Exercise discretion in performing daily responsibilities, maintaining a positive and respectful workplace.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Small Engine Mechanic license.
• Hold a current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record free from major infractions.
• Strong working knowledge of a broad range of power equipment to effectively troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Able to pass a medical and fitness examination required for employment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and teamwork in the work environment.
