Responsibilities

• Anticipate and fulfill guest needs, ensuring high satisfaction with inquiries.
• Command the boat, ensuring safety, security, and comfort of passengers and crew.
• Lead, train, and oversee the crew's performance and conduct.
• Maintain personal and crew uniforms with exemplary standards of presentation.
• Prepare and keep the vessel clean before every departure.
• Navigate and control the boat safely and efficiently.
• Send distress signals and request shore assistance when necessary.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness both inside and outside the boat at all times.
• Manage all logbooks and verify accuracy of entries.
• Ensure all passenger manifests are posted prior to departures.
• Adhere to approved passage plans, explaining any deviations.
• Report unsafe acts and near misses to management immediately.
• Keep the boat fully supplied with fresh water and fuel; handle black water discharge responsibly.
• Follow safe procedures during refueling operations.
• Enforce safety and no-smoking policies plus environmental protection rules onboard.
• Report issues regarding the boat, navigational equipment, and engines to the Port Captain and Guest Fleet Operations manager.
• Address passenger concerns promptly and professionally.
• Secure all passenger luggage and cargo properly.
• Inspect and maintain mooring ropes and berthing equipment.
• Carry out departure checks and report defects to the operations team.
• Liaise with Coast Guard and other agencies as required.
• Maintain all vessel certificates, manuals, and registration documents.
• Report crew absences or shortages.
• Conduct daily operational briefings for the crew before shifts.
• Ensure the fire panel and all firefighting and lifesaving appliances are operational.
• Transfer operational information to the next skipper and Port Captain post-duty.
• Operate multiple vessel types in the fleet including IPS-driven boats.
• Participate actively in training sessions for crew development.
• Assist in drydocking procedures and vessel transfers.
• Only undertake emergency sailing during heavy weather or restricted visibility with approval from the Marine Operations Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Master 500 license, STCW certification, Radio License, and medical fitness report for working at sea.
• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar maritime role.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Strong technical knowledge related to vessel operation.
• Professional appearance and personable demeanor.
• Capable of working well under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
