Job Overview

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily construction activities at the project site, ensuring that all work adheres to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. The role demands close coordination with engineers, contractors, laborers, and vendors to facilitate smooth project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise day-to-day construction operations ensuring compliance with project plans and manager instructions.
• Assign daily tasks to laborers and subcontractors, overseeing productivity and effective manpower usage.
• Monitor receipt, storage, and consumption of materials, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ensure construction quality standards are met and report any defects or deviations promptly.
• Track progress against project schedules and escalate delays or issues to management.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment among workers.
• Coordinate with project personnel including site engineers, contractors, vendors, and machinery operators for workflow efficiency.
• Maintain detailed daily records including site reports, labor attendance, material and equipment usage, and progress.
• Oversee proper use and upkeep of construction tools and machinery.
• Assist with measurements, quantity verification, and documentation necessary for contractor billing.
• Report site problems, material shortages, safety incidents, or technical challenges immediately to supervisors.
• Keep the construction site clean, orderly, and disciplined.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: ITI or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Preference for candidates with prior experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with construction methods, site supervision, and basic technical drawings.
• Basic computer literacy and record-keeping capabilities are advantageous.

The role requires consistent presence at the construction site, active coordination with site teams, and compliance with project working hours and safety regulations.

Additional Information

The Site Supervisor may be required to perform other site-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager or authorized management personnel.

Compensation

Monthly remuneration ranges between INR 15,000 and INR 18,000.
