Job description

Company Overview

California Burrito is a rapidly expanding quick service restaurant (QSR) chain with over 2500 employees operating in more than 140 locations across Bengaluru, NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune. Founded in 2012, the company is committed to using genuine ingredients and delivering honest Mexican cuisine. Their mission focuses on becoming India’s most recognized name in Mexican food while emphasizing quality, speed, and warm hospitality with values such as openness, excellence, and ownership.

Role Summary

The role targets a proactive Site Supervisor responsible for overseeing construction and design implementations at new store locations. This position demands a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring no compromises on finishes like walls, tiles, and laminates. The supervisor will directly coordinate with vendors and contractors daily to guarantee the stores are delivered to exact design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement store fit-outs as per Approved Good For Construction (GFC) drawings covering civil, interior, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and kitchen works.
  • Ensure precise execution of design elements such as materials, finishes, color schemes, lighting, and other details in line with brand standards.
  • Maintain high workmanship quality by thoroughly inspecting finishes including tiling, painting, carpentry, cladding, and false ceilings throughout all project phases.
  • Identify any deviations early during site work and collaborate with architects or Project Managers to resolve issues promptly and cost-effectively.
  • Lead snagging processes by preparing comprehensive snag lists and ensuring contractors complete all items before project handover.
  • Liaise closely with contractors, fabricators, and material suppliers to align expectations on project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Approve samples and mock-ups for key finish materials prior to large-scale implementation.
  • Track vendor deliverables, manage material deliveries, and resolve coordination challenges among different service providers on-site.
  • Verify measurements and contractor invoices against Bill of Quantities (BOQs) to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor daily site progress versus the project timeline and report any delays or risks to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain thorough site documentation including progress photography, quality checklists, trackers, and management information systems (MIS).

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative and embraces challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset. They can lead teams, make independent decisions, and are open to constructive feedback. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to drive alignment with various stakeholders and deliver projects successfully under tight timelines.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
  • Between 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience managing on-site execution of interior fit-outs, preferably in QSR, retail, food & beverage, or hospitality sectors.
  • Proficient in interpreting and executing from GFC, MEP, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Demonstrated sharpness for finish quality and detailed knowledge of materials and industry finishing standards.
  • Experienced in vendor and contractor management, including negotiation, follow-up, and enforcing quality compliance on project sites.
  • Prepared for full-time site presence, inter-city travel, and working under demanding launch schedules.
