Role Summary

The Site Reliability Engineer III will join a dedicated team focused on automating processes to ensure smooth and efficient operation of production systems supporting millions of daily transactions. This role involves maintaining stability for multi-tenant SaaS cloud products, developing tooling to maximize operational efficiency and availability, and collaborating closely with product developers to meet stringent availability, performance, observability, and maintainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply an SRE mindset to manage shared multi-tenant infrastructure for resilient SaaS microservices and customer-centric applications.
• Automate deployment and operational tasks to enhance the AWS environment.
• Contribute to core infrastructure software by adding features, fixing defects, and improving reliability.
• Engineer and maintain a secure, seamless single sign-on system based on SAML/OAuth.
• Develop observability tooling, metrics, and dashboards supporting global platform monitoring.
• Enhance incident management by detecting, mitigating, and learning from reliability risks to foster a self-healing system.
• Create system documentation and training resources to empower team members.
• Collaborate with engineering teams by offering constructive feedback and contributing code improvements.
• Support a culture embracing AI and emerging technologies to boost productivity and outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate solid software engineering and automation skills using Bash, Python, and/or Go.
• Experienced with agile methods like Scrum or Kanban, with a strong Linux system background.
• Skilled in automating and managing AWS infrastructures with production environment support involving Java, Apache, and Tomcat.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or Terraspace, and familiar with devops/gitops utilities like Git, Bitbucket, Flux CD, and TeamCity.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies including Docker, Helm, Kubernetes/EKS, CNI, and Ingress networking.
• Knowledgeable in Single Sign-On protocols (SAML, OAuth) with bonus points for Okta experience.
• Familiarity with observability solutions like Datadog, CloudWatch, PagerDuty, and messaging/event streaming technologies such as Kafka or AWS SQS.
• Experience with relational databases like Aurora Postgres and Oracle RDS and comfortable with application development, web UI design, JSON, and overall system architecture.
• Exposure to Open Application Model platforms such as KubeVela or Crossplane is advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and a process-driven approach to complex problem-solving.
• Excellent communicator adept at explaining complex technical topics across diverse audiences and committed to cultivating reliability practices including blameless postmortems and service-level objectives.
• Enthusiastic about leveraging AI and data-driven insights to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
