Site Reliability Engineer

Role Overview

We seek a Site Reliability Engineer who will ensure that production environments remain reliable, observable, and performant. This position merges software engineering practices with operational responsibilities, emphasizing automation to eliminate repetitive tasks and prioritizing reliability as a critical engineering focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and manage systems to achieve high availability and performance.
• Develop and sustain observability tools including logging, metrics, and tracing frameworks.
• Establish and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets.
• Lead incident management processes and conduct thorough post-incident analyses.
• Create automation tools and platform enhancements to minimize manual operational work.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure production readiness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least four years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Proficient in scripting and software development with languages such as Python or Go.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership in incident response within live production environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts.
