Overview
Smart IMS Inc. is a global technology partner specializing in cybersecurity, digital transformation, cloud services, application and infrastructure management, unified communications, and insurance implementations. They are partners with Microsoft, Oracle, and AWS, serving clients across Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. This role is for a Site Reliability Engineer position based in Bangalore, India with one of the largest e-commerce platforms.
Responsibilities and Role
The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing cloud operations and deployments, ensuring smooth CI/CD processes, and maintaining highly available systems. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving capabilities during application deployment and infrastructure troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Cloud Operations or DevOps roles.
- Practical expertise working with cloud environments and deployment practices.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Kubernetes orchestration.
- Proficient debugging and troubleshooting skills during deployment phases.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, ports, and service connectivity.
- Competence in scripting languages, preferably Python, for automation and operational tasks.
- Familiarity with Linux and Unix operating systems is a beneficial plus.
