Job Overview

The Site Manager for the HV Turnkey Project will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, execution, and completion of projects within specified deadlines and budgets. Key duties involve securing necessary resources, orchestrating efforts among team members and external contractors or consultants, and ensuring thorough quality management throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires defining clear project objectives and maintaining close oversight on progress and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire project development process from initiation to closure.
• Establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership to align with business targets.
• Design detailed project plans and prepare related communication materials.
• Communicate project expectations clearly and promptly to all team members.
• Assess and allocate the necessary resources and personnel to meet project goals.
• Compile budget proposals and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate with other department leaders to obtain required internal staff.
• Identify the need for extra personnel or consultants and initiate hiring during the project as required.
• Manage expectations with stakeholders and team throughout the project duration.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities appropriately within the team.
• Address and resolve conflicts and issues that arise within the project group.
• Manage project dependencies and determine critical path activities.
• Utilize project tracking tools to monitor milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations.
• Set and review the frequency and content of progress reports, analyze outcomes, and troubleshoot challenges.
• Anticipate scope changes, potential crises, and create contingency strategies.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members and contractors, fostering accountability and positive engagement.
• Develop and strengthen business relationships crucial to project success.
• Participate actively in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
• Be willing to travel to meet clients and off-site teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or related disciplines.
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in project or site management within underground high voltage/high tension cable transmission projects.
• Proficient with project management systems, including Primavera and Microsoft Project.
• Technical proficiency with software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Skilled at interpreting communication styles of diverse team members and contractors from various disciplines.
• Strong persuasive and motivational abilities.
• Adept at gaining cooperation from multiple sources, including senior leadership, clients, and different departments.
• Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively under pressure.
