Site Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join a main building contractor for an upcoming housing development project located in Arklow, County Wicklow. The project is beginning shortly, and the Site Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate construction setting out and adherence to site specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately execute setting out of construction works according to architectural and engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Establish and verify reference points, grade levels, and benchmarks essential for precise site alignment and measurements.
• Collaborate effectively with the project team and other stakeholders to interpret and implement setting out needs.
• Operate surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS devices, and laser levels to achieve exact measurements and layouts, ensuring all procedures comply with health and safety guidelines.
• Uphold stringent health and safety standards throughout all setting out tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of two years experience conducting setting out on building projects within Ireland or the UK.
• A third-level degree in Construction or Civil Engineering.
• Proficient in the use of surveying instruments, including Total Stations, Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) equipment, and GPS technology, to deliver precise site set out.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated salary in the range of €60,000 to €70,000 annually.
