Job Overview
We are seeking a committed and meticulous Site Engineer to manage and supervise daily construction operations, ensuring project completion within safety, budget, timelines, and quality expectations. Candidates should have strong technical expertise, exceptional coordination capabilities, and proficient site management skills.
Primary Duties
- Oversee and supervise daily activities on construction sites in line with project plans and specifications.
- Guarantee adherence to approved drawings, project specifications, and timelines.
- Liaise effectively with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to facilitate seamless project advancement.
- Monitor labor productivity and optimize the use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure all construction outputs meet established quality standards by conducting routine site inspections and promptly addressing technical challenges.
- Verify measurements and material quality before approvals and maintain detailed QA/QC documentation.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and monitor progress against milestones.
- Collaborate with architects, structural and MEP engineers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure projects progress on schedule and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and encourage safe job practices on-site.
- Keep comprehensive daily logs including site reports, material usage, and progress records.
- Prepare billing documents, measurement sheets, and other project paperwork.
- Manage construction material inventory and coordinate procurement needs.
- Report issues, delays, and risks encountered on-site along with recommendations to management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Between 1 to 5 years of practical experience in building construction, real estate, or infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and site operations.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Readiness to travel to various project sites as required.
Preferred Competencies
- Experience and knowledge of RCC works, finishing tasks, and on-site supervision.
- Involvement in residential or commercial construction initiatives.
- Familiarity with Bill of Quantities (BOQ), estimation, billing, and quantity surveying.
- Capability to handle multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
