Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Thurles for a Sign Maker / Installer. The role encompasses the entire sign production process, including material preparation, operation of print and cutting machinery, assembly of sign parts, and ensuring superior finish quality. Daily duties involve installing signage at customer locations, applying vehicle graphics, measuring and marking surfaces, and safely operating hand and power tools.

The individual will collaborate closely with the design team to accurately interpret artwork files, adhere to job specifications, and meet deadlines. Maintaining a clean and safe working area and following all safety protocols is essential. Additionally, this position requires engaging professionally with customers during on-site installations to address basic inquiries.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in sign production and installation techniques, including safe handling of hand and power tools, precise measuring, and confidence working with materials such as vinyl, metal, and acrylic.
• Basic skills in graphic design and layout; familiarity with design or sign-making software is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude, capable of interpreting technical drawings, installation guides, and project specifications.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors when necessary, with a strong emphasis on health and safety compliance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, demonstrating a positive approach to teamwork and client interactions.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel locally for installations; prior experience in signage, printing, construction or related trades is beneficial.
