Role Overview
This on-site, full-time position is located in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area and involves fabricating and assembling custom signs and vinyl graphics. Daily responsibilities include operating sign-making machinery (plotters, printers, laminators), cutting, laminating, mounting, and installing materials with precision according to specifications. The role requires interpreting design files and work orders, preparing surfaces, maintaining an organized and safe workspace, and collaborating closely with designers, installers, and other team members. Occasionally, assistance with on-site installations at client locations is expected. Success in this role demands adherence to quality, safety, and timelines while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficiency in sign fabrication tasks such as cutting, laminating, mounting, and basic sign and vinyl graphic installation.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret design files, measurements, and work orders with keen attention to detail.
- Safe handling and usage of hand and power tools, as well as familiarity with equipment like plotters, printers, and laminators.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management to prioritize production tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to work cooperatively with designers, project managers, and installation staff.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and operate on ladders or various on-site environments.
- Previous experience in signage, printing, fabrication, or related trades is advantageous; vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is desirable for occasional travel to installation sites within the Greater Vancouver area.
