About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sign Fitting Technician to become part of our expanding installation team based in Cardiff. Our company has an established presence in signage and large-format graphics, providing quality services to commercial, retail, and corporate clients. This permanent, full-time position requires hands-on involvement in diverse projects, working independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Install a variety of signage and graphics including internal and external signs, built-up letters, fabricated signs, and illuminated signage.
- Fit shopfront signs, vinyl graphics, manifestations, window and wall graphics, wayfinding and directional signage, and large-format printed graphics.
- Carry out removal and replacement of signage as well as general remedial and maintenance tasks.
- Operate at various commercial, retail, and construction sites with occasional travel and overnight stays.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in sign fitting or a related trade with proficiency using hand and power tools.
- Capability to measure accurately, set out, and install signs precisely.
- Attention to detail and pride in completing work to a high standard.
- Ability to interpret drawings, plans, and job sheets.
- Confidence working at heights and independently without ongoing supervision.
- Reliability, punctuality, organization, and professionalism in customer and contractor interactions.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on site.
- Possession of a full UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Essential)
- Certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CSCS or experience with electrical/illuminated signage.
