Shopify & E-commerce Assistant

About the Role

Sand Dollar Dubai Beachwear Boutique is seeking a resourceful and highly organized Shopify & E-commerce Assistant to aid in the daily operations of its two retail websites, Sand Dollar Dubai and Heart Cottage Lane. This role works in close collaboration with the E-commerce Manager and requires someone who brings hands-on Shopify experience, a sharp commercial mindset, and a proactive approach to website management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of both Shopify stores efficiently.
• Maintain and visually curate the websites, ensuring all sections such as New In, collections, categories, and featured products are consistently updated and aesthetically appealing.
• Manage the upload process of new products, ensuring imagery, descriptions, pricing, tags, collections, and variants are accurate and complete.
• Update homepage elements, banners, landing pages, and promotions in partnership with the E-commerce Manager.
• Regularly audit websites to detect outdated items, incorrect visuals, broken links, and potential merchandising enhancements.
• Manage and optimize the Rebuy app functionalities including cross-sell, upsell, and product recommendations to enhance merchandising.
• Assist in setting up Shopify promotions, discount codes, collections, and campaigns.
• Provide support for ongoing e-commerce and digital marketing activities across both brands.
• Help prepare website content aligned with product launches, promotions, and seasonal events.
• Utilize basic Canva skills to resize images, create simple graphics, and contribute to marketing collateral.
• Assist with Shopify reporting and routine administrative tasks as required.
• Offer additional clerical support to the wider office operations.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Prior practical experience working on Shopify is critical.
• Comfortable navigating Shopify’s products, inventory, collections, discounts, and website content management.
• Possess a strong visual merchandising sense and understanding of product presentation online.
• Capability to learn and operate Shopify apps such as Rebuy confidently.
• Highly organized, detail-conscious, and able to juggle multiple priorities effectively across two brands.
• Display initiative, resourcefulness, and sound commercial awareness, consistently seeking website improvements.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced retail environment where priorities shift rapidly.
• Familiarity with Canva, email marketing, Shopify apps, digital marketing, or e-commerce analytics is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Location: Arjan, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• Contract Type: Full-time, permanent.
• Working Days: 6 days per week.
• Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
