Shop Helper / Detailer

About the Role

Superior Autobody, located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is inviting applications for a motivated and dependable Shop Helper / Detailer to become a key contributor to their professional team. This full-time permanent position involves aiding with daily operations in the shop, performing vehicle detailing tasks, and keeping the workspace organized and efficient. This role suits individuals with a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for automotive repair.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough washing, cleaning, and detailing for vehicle interiors and exteriors to maintain high quality.
• Transport vehicles within the shop or lot as assigned.
• Ensure the work environment, tools, and equipment remain clean and orderly.
• Assist with vehicle deliveries and shuttle customers professionally.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service during interactions.
• Properly dispose of waste materials following environmental safety standards.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify vehicles are ready for customer return.
• Document and inspect fleet vehicle conditions.
• Support coworkers and follow instructions from the Shop Manager, Office Administrators, and Technicians.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Strong detail orientation with pride in workmanship quality.
• Physical capability for tasks involving lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Experience in automotive detailing or collision repair is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn and comply with safety and quality protocols.
• Professional presentation and conduct when dealing with customers and representing the company.
