About the Role
Anradus Pte Ltd is seeking a Shipping Assistant to join their container trucking service team located centrally near Little India MRT in Singapore. This is a permanent full-time position with working days from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. The salary can go up to SGD 2700, including Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) and a variable bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage documentation for sea and air import/export freight, ensuring all necessary shipping paperwork is prepared accurately.
- Create invoices, secure permits, and arrange cargo insurance as required.
- Communicate with clients regarding certificate applications and related shipping documents.
- Coordinate container transshipments with shipping lines and freight forwarders, confirming vessel schedules for barge operations.
- Submit Bill of Lading drafts to relevant parties and print original Bills of Lading using online platforms.
- Apply for permits via Tradeweb and handle back-to-back Certificate of Origin requests.
- Compile and submit complete sets of documentation for letters of credit (L/C), documents against payment (D/A), and documents against acceptance (DIP) transactions to banks.
- Scan and archive shipping documents on the company's server system.
- Prepare local delivery documents and liaise with clients to arrange deliveries effectively.
- Work closely with warehouses regarding goods collection and delivery logistics.
- Keep track of import container records and shipping line nominations for transshipment containers in internal systems.
- Coordinate with transporters to clear less than container load (LCL) shipments from ports to clients' warehouses, assigning transport jobs as necessary.
- Support ad hoc tasks related to shipping operations as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum education: O level qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience working with shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with import/export documentation processes is preferred.
- Experience using TradeNet or Tradeweb for permit processing is advantageous.
- Training will be provided for candidates lacking direct experience.
