Job Overview

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Woodbridge, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Shipper to efficiently handle shipping orders and maintain organisation within the warehouse and yard.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and process shipping orders as directed by the shipping supervisor, including picking orders using DSI guns.
• Ensure the yard and warehouse are systematically arranged to boost efficiency, maintain safety, and speed up customer order fulfillment.
• Store finished products from the production area both inside and outdoors in their proper warehouse locations.
• Construct packaging materials such as skids and gaylords and inspect packaging quality.
• Repack products that have suffered damage.
• Load and unload flatbed trucks and dry vans.
• Apply barcode labels as necessary on shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including the yard and bundling areas.
• Dispose of scrap materials like wood, strapping, and cardboard in their designated bins.
• Engage in the PVC Recovery program to recycle broken or scrap pipes.
• Work outdoors as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have lift truck certification.
• Proficient in English for reading, writing, comprehension, and effective communication.
• Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Physical ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds (approximately 23 kilograms).

Compensation and Work Schedule

The position offers an hourly wage of $25.82. Shift details are provided by the employer.
