Role Overview
As a Shift Supervisor at Montana's Lloydminster location, you will support daily leadership of restaurant operations. Together with the leadership team, you are accountable for both financial performance and non-monetary key metrics related to the restaurant's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify underlying causes of guest dissatisfaction and aid in crafting corrective and proactive measures.
- Address and resolve guest complaints effectively, ensuring root causes are remedied.
- Coach and mentor Q-Crew members to consistently deliver quality food, beverages, and a welcoming ambiance.
- Engage regularly with guests to gather feedback aimed at improving overall experience.
- Train and develop staff through coaching and performance enhancement strategies.
- Participate in training new hourly employees.
- Promote a culture of recognition focused on achieving key performance indicators and excellent guest satisfaction.
- Support the General Manager in creating an engaging, team-focused, and appreciative workplace.
- Monitor and enhance daily performance metrics such as guest and employee satisfaction, food safety, and profitability.
- Operate within labor budgets to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Help implement business growth initiatives including marketing and sales drives.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards including food safety (HACCP), inventory management, and FIFO.
- Maintain restaurant opening/closing procedures and uniform standards.
- Complete and monitor daily operational checklists.
- Implement new menus, boards, and promotions according to brand standards.
- Manage cash controls, prepare daily deposits, and conduct safe audits per policy.
- Adhere to provincial employment, human rights, health and safety, WHMIS and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Ensure proper control over cash and inventory practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in hospitality environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging guests and team members.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting managing multiple priorities.
- Understanding and anticipation of excellent guest experiences.
- Conflict mediation and facilitation abilities to resolve staff and guest concerns promptly.
- Teamwork skills and high energy performance.
- Multitasking capabilities without sacrificing quality of service.
