Job Overview
This position is with a restaurant that is independently franchised and is not directly operated by McDonald's USA. Employment decisions including hiring, firing, supervision, and scheduling are handled solely by the franchisee, who is your employer if hired. About the Role
As a Shift Manager, you will oversee shifts weekly to ensure customers receive prompt, accurate, and friendly service. You will lead crew members and fellow managers during your shift to maintain high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and security.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate shift activities.
- Monitor team performance and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald's standards for food safety and quality.
- Manage inventory levels and control costs.
- Maintain daily cleanliness and facility maintenance.
- Communicate effectively within the team and to the next shift manager for seamless operations.
- Schedule staff and assist in training new team members.
- Help assigned departments achieve their operational targets.
Qualifications
- Preferred prior leadership experience, especially in restaurants, retail, or hospitality sectors.
- A flexible schedule paired with a positive, teamwork-focused attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for a managerial role in corporate-owned restaurants.
