Shift Manager

About the Role

This position is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, who holds a license to use McDonald's branding and products but is a separate employer from McDonald's USA. Employment decisions, including hiring and management, are handled solely by the franchisee without involvement from McDonald's USA.

As a Shift Manager, you will provide leadership to crew members and other managers during assigned shifts, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service in a clean and safe environment. You will oversee various operational tasks to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee food safety practices
• Maintain effective internal communication with team members
• Manage inventory to ensure stock availability and minimize waste
• Ensure daily maintenance and uphold cleanliness standards
• Manage and motivate team members to deliver quality food and exceptional customer experiences
• Monitor shift safety and security
• Assist with staff scheduling and training
• Plan and monitor performance during shifts to meet operational standards and department targets
• Coordinate with incoming Shift Manager for smooth transition

Candidate Requirements

• Preferred prior leadership experience, ideally in restaurant, retail, or hospitality industries
• Positive and flexible team player who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Must be at least 18 years of age
