Shift Manager

About the Role

We are currently seeking dedicated Shift Managers to join our team at a McDonald's franchised location in Escondido, CA. This restaurant operates independently from McDonald’s USA and the franchisee is solely responsible for all employment aspects.

As a Shift Manager, you will lead daily operations during your shift to ensure all customers experience prompt, accurate, and friendly service. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership to crew members and managers during shifts
• Plan and organize each shift to maximize efficiency
• Monitor team performance in real-time, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards
• Manage food safety and quality production
• Maintain daily cleanliness and restaurant maintenance schedules
• Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve any issues promptly
• Oversee safety and security protocols
• Handle scheduling duties and staff coordination
• Assist in inventory control and management
• Communicate shift details and operational updates with the incoming Shift Manager
• Train crew members and help develop their skills

Candidate Requirements

• Prior leadership experience preferred, especially in restaurants, retail, or hospitality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work varied schedule hours
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute
• A minimum age of 18 years to qualify for a managerial role in corporate restaurants

Additional Information

This franchisee is an independent operator separate from McDonald’s USA who manages all employment matters including hiring and scheduling. Applicants acknowledge their employment relationship will be with the franchisee only.
