About the Role
This position is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's branding and products; it is not directly employed by McDonald's USA. The franchisee solely manages all employment-related matters such as hiring, supervision, and scheduling. Your application and employment are with the franchisee, not McDonald's USA, which has no involvement in employment decisions.
As a Shift Manager, your main goal is to ensure every customer receives quick, accurate, and courteous service during your shift. You will lead the crew and fellow managers to maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and guide shift activities to meet McDonald's quality and service standards
- Oversee food safety, security, and profitability during shifts
- Communicate efficiently with incoming shift managers to ensure smooth operations
- Manage crew scheduling, training, and daily operational tasks
- Help departments achieve their goals and meet performance targets
- Maintain daily maintenance, cleanliness, and inventory control
Required Qualifications
- ServeSafe certification must be current and all 15 Shift Leadership modules completed
- Attendance at IT training sessions either in-person or virtually is necessary
- Previous leadership experience preferred, especially in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve as a manager
